Byte by Byte was founded in May of 1997 by the Bay family
to fill a void in the beautiful and unique town of Bancroft (the mineral capital
of Canada) in eastern Ontario. While the town has only 5,000 residents, we soon
learned that outlying communities were also suffering from a severe shortage of
quality computer accessibility. Originally started as a training centre, sales
grew so rapidly the first year that there was little time left to dedicate to
training and eventually was limited to students and homeschoolers who had no
computer of their own. By the end of 2004, thousands of computers have been
adopted into loving families and businesses.
Byte by Byte is open Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:30 (except holidays). We service
what we sell and guarantee our products and our work. (Ask for details on
individual product warranties.) Bench fees are waived when the computer was
purchased from us and serviced by us.
The company does not contribute to eye-pollution as do many businesses along our
once-colourful and scenic roadways. We rely on sponsoring local community events
and good old fashioned word-of-mouth to bring people to our door.
Once you've seen the equipment, it sells itself.
